As per regulatory requirement, project involved migration of HAL’s entire projects to the upgraded Primavera P6 platform in a short space of time. Miaz-Tech joined the project via Coal IT agency for Heathrow, as a migration and Business Intelligence Subject Matter Expert (SME) . Miaz-Tech core responsibility was data migration, archival, Business Intelligence and reporting - worked closely with 3Ps and Heathrow functional team to create HP mercury test cases to make sure all the Business Requirements (BR) were met and business rules were followed for successful migration of the legacy data to meet the pivotal CAA and Department of Transport’s regulatory requirements.

The Data Migration team’s remit was to define the strategy, and design and implement the process and mechanisms by which project schedule, cost and risk data from numerous, disparate legacy systems could be re-integrated and reconciled within the new Programme Controls solution. Miaz-Tech's role was critical in delivering a smooth and successful migration as part of cut- over to the new solution. Miaz-tech had specific responsibility for building, testing and documenting the Transformation Utility – a key component in the validation, conversion and aligning of cost data with schedule information – as well as providing support and guidance to other team members.

Remarkable Delivery.

I contracted Miaz-Tech as “Business Intelligence Consultant” from 15/03/2013 to 24/02/2014 on a £5m sales optimization project including the implementation of a new Predictive Dialer Solution which included the design and build of several complex databases and sophisticated scripting to build campaigns and Business Intelligence. At later stage, Miaz-Tech also provided Out of Hours (OOH) support through “independent consultancy contract” from 24/02/204 to 01/09/2014.

I employed Miaz-Tech for System and Database Engineer roles for National Grids’ Capital Delivery. I was Miaz-tech’s Contract Manager for the delivery of critical Business Intelligence (BI) suite to allow us to manage our business under the new regime invoked by OFGEM. These gave National Grid clear visibility of performance against set funding and allow us to determine our operating model. Miaz-Tech was instrumental in developing a system of record for how we operate performance measures as set by the regulator, provided critical MI to support National Grid, so as to make informed decisions during this period of change. Miaz-tech provided services for the designing, implementation and delivery of Oracle BI, Data Warehouse (DWH) and Oracle APeX system for Capital Delivery.

During his SoW Miaz-Tech has been our department's sole subject matter expert on BI solutions for project controls. The capital investment programme is worth several billion pounds over the lifetime of our current regulatory period of 8 years and the solutions are enabling us to monitor and report our project portfolio progress and forecast most likely out-turn completion dates and cost, which is critical in maintaining our ability to sustain electricity supplies to the nation and improve our overall business performance.

Great flexibility.

Miaz-Tech was contracted to National Grid's Capital Delivery department on Oracle BI and Data Warehouse. Miaz-Tech resources expert knowledge was crucial to the success of the project, on top of the excellent business relationship he had with senior managers and staff of the department - Miaz-Tech contributions were to design and develop the data warehouse and associated systems based on data from National Grid's installation of Primavera and work management systems. Deployment instructions were documented by Miaz-Tech to enable IBM resources to implement alongside our fellow partners CSC with his support.
