The Data Solutions team collaborates with clients, account services and data team members to identify business requirements, solutions, and outcomes. The Data Solutions Lead is responsible for the success of each client engagement by acting as a bridge and connecting our clients and functional teams to deliver data-focused solutions. Working closely with client stakeholders the Data Solution Lead translates business requirements into solutions while guiding cross-functional teams by leveraging data & analytics expertise with agile development fundamentals. The Data Solutions Lead is responsible for ensuring that all products being delivered are consistent with client expectations and that they meet the technical constraints and requirements.
Strategic Vision
● Acts as a translator from the client to our internal teams to build awareness and understanding and communicate a vision for what Brooklyn Data will be delivering
● Gains a deep understanding of client needs, identify and fill data solutions gaps (e.g., defining the overall solution architecture as well as the specific needs that must be filled by data wrangling and visualization tools) and generate new ideas that grow market share, improve client experience and drive growth
● Creates buy-in for internal vision of the data solution, as well as with clients and other key external stakeholders
Cross-Team Collaboration
● Works closely with data analytics, analytics engineering, and data engineering, and other functional areas (as needed) to deliver the engagement efficiently
● Partners with their director on staffing and resourcing needs
● Drives engagement delivery by working with internal operational teams, including account management, resource management, and project management
● Leads sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives with team and/or stakeholder
Engagement Delivery
● Evaluate engagement delivery plans to ensure that they are consistent with engagement strategy and that the message is effectively conveyed, with guidance from their manager
● Translate engagement strategy into detailed requirements and prototypes
● Scope and prioritize activities based on business and client impact
● Be the client’s first point of escalation to help triage demands, with support of their director
